What is it?
Retrofit is the addition of renewable and energy efficient measures to an existing property, to reduce energy costs and improve energy efficiency. As we are trying to improve energy efficiency of homes within the UK, retrofit allows measures to be added to an existing property, that often were not available when the property was built. These measures are recommended to reduce fuel poverty, improve energy efficiency of properties and overall reduce our carbon footprint.
What are some of the measures?
Retrofitting a property could include a range of the following measures;

- Cavity Wall Insulation
- Solid Wall Insulation
- Installation of Heat Pumps
- Installation of Solar Panels
